Conor McGregor, this time, had the answer in support of his teammate. Recently, Johnny Walker got the win over Anthony Smith via unanimous decision. But some fans were not impressed with entertainer Walker, as in the last round he didn’t make much impact. After the UFC Charlotte event, one of the fighting fans questioned the facility of Straight Blast Gym.

The UFC fighter has already set his sights on his forthcoming confrontation with Michael Chandler. However, Conor McGregor is renowned for always standing by his team. When his partner hit Khabib Nurmogomedov earlier during the UFC 229 matchmaker, McGregor spoke up in defense of him. This time, one of the spectators took the initiative to criticize his teammate’s victory.

McGregor and Johnny Walker both train at the same gym in Ireland. It was a direct question from the fan that forced the former champion to come out in defense of Walker. Walker was able to improve his winning streak to 3-0 at UFC Charlotte. Johnny came up with the tactics to slow down Smith with his devastating calf kicks on Smith’s lead leg. All the judges gave 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28 to Johnny Walker.

But the MMA community doesn’t look impressed with the wins, as Johnny himself is thinking of himself as the next contender for the light heavyweight title fight, as he claimed earlier. Smith, as usual, showed his heart for not giving up and survived all three rounds. Fans looked more impressed with Lionheart’s endurance than Walker’s performance.

In the video, Anthony Smith was constantly ducking and staying on the ground to stop Walker’s striking. Then one of the fans replied to Conor’s tweet with “that shit was ass,” which got him furious. The 34-year-old fighter gave the response as a teacher to the fan.

McGregor was praising how Johnny tackled the Smith’s movement “Disagree. That’s real nice tracking and pinning of the head here by Walker, and coincidentally, nice decision making by Smith to go down to the ankle pick attempt as if he hadn’t he’d have been stopped cold here if he stays on the feet. Former double champion responded “You know nada. End of round 3. Both still with correct decision-making faculties. I liked it. You are the type, the next fight one of these scores a KO win, “OMG the best ever the lhw division is on fire, la da da da” the usual fair-weather shite.”

This is not the first time a former champ has replied to a fan. But this can be one of the serious moments when McGregor gives a lesson about MMA striking.
