Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are gearing up for the biggest fight of their life this weekend. Neither has fought anyone with significant knockout power in their career. Davis and Garcia have devastating knockout powers. The face-offs after weigh-in started with a little chit-chat, ending with a shoving contest between the both. However, it did not last long as security got involved. Master of face-offs Conor Mcgregor took to Twitter to react to the face-off.
Conor McGregor wrote, “That’s how it’s done! Well done gents. Good luck tomorrow!.” The Irish Superstar wished them luck for the biggest boxing clash of the year. Davis and Garcia are undefeated boxers, and one will walk out with a loss on their record. Fight fans look forward to the clash, with analysts saying one will get knocked out in the boxing bout.
McGregor has not fought inside the Octagon since his devastating leg injury in 2021. He has not won a fight since his stoppage victory over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in 2020. After recovering from the leg injury, he has kept himself active, becoming involved in many activities. He coached TUF 31 opposite Michael Chandler and might fight him later this year after getting clearance from USADA to compete.
McGregor always voices out his opinions on Twitter. He recently beefed with the USADA about his status as a fighter. McGregor left the USADA testing pool in 2021 and needs to be tested for six months before returning to the Octagon. Fight fans hope to see the USADA and McGregor coming to terms with a potential deal about his status. Sorting out the problem can make him eligible to fight later this year.
Ryan Garcia predicts he will finish Gervonta Davis like Conor McGregor finished Jose Aldo
American boxer Ryan Garcia has taken inspiration from Conor McGregor to predict the result of his upcoming fight. In 2015, McGregor predicted that his fight with Aldo would finish very quickly in a blink of an eye. He went on to finish Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194. Aldo vs McGregor was an intense rivalry.
Similarly, Garcia said, “It’s like when Conor McGregor was gonna face Jose Aldo, you just know it. You knew it was coming, and now it’s here. And now it’s gonna end before a blink of an eye. I promise you that.”
Boxing fans will soon discover if Garcia can back his words up as McGregor did in 2015. Davis is the best fighter against Garcia and possesses immense knockout power. Garcia will look to put Davis away to get the biggest win of his career.
