Today, there are very few fighters who can match the achievements of Conor McGregor. He remains the biggest name in the sport, without a doubt. McGregor is a great striker and displays impactful striking inside the octagon. His added advantage remains his powerful left hand that can destroy almost everyone. The life that Conor McGregor has outside the octagon has become a part of media attention. Some may even say he is more prominent outside the UFC due to his antics.
His career in the UFC became inconsistent after 2016. After his controversial bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov, he was inactive for a year. He returned to face Donald Cerrone at welterweight in January 2020. In the first round, McGregor won the fight within 40 seconds, using shoulder strikes and a powerful head kick. In a recent post on Twitter, he again highlighted his lethal fighting style against Cerrone. “40 seconds. 100% accuracy. Excuse my arrogance at times“, he wrote.
McGregor is known for his impressive knockouts, the most famous being his 13 seconds win against Jose Aldo. His striking technique is second to none, though McGregor always had a weakness in the wrestling department. Throughout his career, he has fought and beaten elite fighters like Dustin Poirier, Chad Mendes, Max Holloway, and Eddie Alvarez.
He has gained immense wealth and fame from his multiple businesses too. Currently, McGregor came back for his second stint in The Ultimate Fighter against Michael Chandler. They are scheduled to fight later this year.
Trash-talking and promotion come naturally for Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has always been successful in promoting his matches. He has used his promotional skills in his business also. Now, both his career and his business are a huge success.
