As the year 2022 is about to end, UFC has released its picks for the UFC honors. Fans will get to vote for their desired candidate and choose the winner. Recently, UFC posted the list of ‘Comeback of the year’ nominees which included Leon Edwards’ KO victory vs Kamaru Usman.  This post was shared by Conor McGregor on his Twitter account, who clearly thinks that Edwards knocking out Usman was the biggest UFC moment last year. McGregor mentioned that the commentary, the leg kick, the post-fight interview with Edwards everything just made the moment legendary.

He wrote: “Stop the nonsense “comeback” of the year , this is EVERYTHING of the year! Bar none. The timing of commentary. The timing of the fight. The shot itself. The KO. The ramifications. The post speech. Pound for pound head shot. Dead! This lives on! Team @ParadigmSports! ?”

McGregor is a big supporter of Edwards and one of the major reasons is that the Brit is from the same management company as McGregor. The Irishman has been a part of Paradigm Sports for a long time now and is a little biased toward Edwards’s achievements.

Paradigm Sports is one of the most noticeable management companies in the current MMA scene with more than 70 fighters under their belt. Founder and CEO, Audie Attar has been in the fight business for a long time and it is evident from the star-studded roaster they have. Earlier this year, Paradigm Sports had three fighters who were champions in their respective divisions which included Israel Adesanya, Jiri Prochazka, and Leon Edwards. Although Prochazka and Adesanya are not the champions anymore, their influence is still there.

Conor Mcgregor is the biggest superstar of the management company and his relationship with Attar goes way back since his debut in 2013. Attar is also responsible for getting the Floyd Mayweather fight for Mcgregor in 2017.

Since then, both McGregor and Attar have dwelled in several other business ventures in order to make more money together. The pair also own the Eire Born Spirits (ESB), which is actually the parent company of McGregor’s Proper Twelve whiskey brand.
