“How many bridges do you burn,” Conor McGregor schools Tony Ferguson for blaming UFC on enmity with the company

Tony Ferguson- Conor McGregor
Out of all to react to Tony Ferguson’s outrage towards the UFC in his recent pre-fight media scrum, you would not expect UFC megastar Conor McGregor to share his opinion on the matter, but he did. Ferguson, former UFC interim-lightweight champion is fighting this weekend against former UFC title challenger and former Bellator MMA lightweight champion Michael Chandler in a 3-round lightweight battle at UFC 274. Ferguson is on a 3-fight skid and therefore needs to win this fight more desperately than ever.

McGregor on the other hand is preparing for his return after more than a year of layoff, which is most likely going to happen in the fall of this year if everything sails smoothly. McGregor’s last fight cost him a fractured shin bone in his trilogy against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. However, McGregor has recovered successfully and has also started his MMA training. McGregor has time and again expressed his wish to fight for the title of a third weight class in his legacy against reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
Conor McGregor ends a direct tweet for Tony Ferguson with an affirmation to pray for the latter

In the pre-fight media scrum, Ferguson has expressed how he was so done with the UFC’s ‘retaliation practices’ in which he was not being valued enough and was also not allowed to expose himself to playing other professional sports like baseball. Ferguson also compared UFC President Dana White to a drug dealer and also ripped the humour of his previously funny catchphrase ‘Dana White privilege.’ Ferguson is now looking focused and is valuing this fight more than ever for his career to perhaps prove a point.
The MMA community has erupted on the internet over the situation and the world is reacting to Ferguson’s outrage over the UFC. McGregor too joined the line to share what he feels about the situation and therefore had an unconventional opinion for many MMA fans to asses about. On Twitter, McGregor said “Tony Ferguson, who changes representation around 4 times a year, is saying it’s someone else fault he is in the position he is in. How many bridges do you burn before you look yourself in the mirror and say “maybe it’s me that’s the issue” God bless you pal, I’ll say a prayer.“
What do you make of McGregor’s attempt to make Ferguson accountable for the whole hostility in the fight business with the UFC? Do you think he is right? Do you think McGregor and Ferguson will ever cross paths against each other? Who do you think will win that fight? Who do you wins this Saturday night between Ferguson and his opponent at UFC 274, Michael Chandler?
