Conor McGregor did not have the best time of his life in June 2023. He attended the NBA Finals, and a woman accused McGregor of sexually assaulting her. The trouble also made him miss the deadline to enroll in the USADA testing pool to compete in 2023. The alleged sexual assault incident may have greatly strained his family. However, McGregor addressed the situation during an outing with his family.
Conor McGregor said, “Thank you so much for the support.” He thanked the fans for their support and promised to compete again inside the octagon. The Irish superstar made his comeback to the UFC in 2023. He coached the Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter opposite Michael Chandler. He was supposed to fight Chandler at some point in 2023, but it looks unlikely due to not enrolling in the USADA pool.
McGregor has done everything except training and fighting in 2023. He attended the F1 race in Monaco and the Cannes Film Festival. He also filmed scenes opposite Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal for Road House. It will be McGregor’s film debut. On the other hand, Chandler continues to prepare intensely for the much-anticipated showdown with the Irish superstar.
The Irishman has made much money throughout his career. His current lifestyle may not be suitable for a fighter. He continues to party every weekend and does not train consistently. Fans and analysts have speculated that McGregor may never fight again after witnessing his reluctance to enroll in the USADA pool. Fight fans hope to see the Irish superstar again compete in the UFC.
Conor McGregor was seen training with Dillon Danis
Dillon Danis is an elite submission grappling specialist. He does not have an extensive background in MMA. Danis has competed in two MMA bouts and won via submission in both. Recently, he sparred with his friend Conor McGregor during a training session.
According to the general consensus, fight fans do not think McGregor should train with Danis. They believe that the Irishman should train with elite-level fighters who could help McGregor. Analysts believe that McGregor may not be the same fighter that the general public knew before.
If fans witness McGregor fight again, he will have to re-enroll in the USADA testing pool for six months and produce two negative results to become eligible. At the moment, all that remains are uncertainty surrounding McGregor’s future.
