The latest entry into the EA UFC franchise angered a portion of the MMA community. They did not like the reveal of Alexander Volkanovski. The bald version of Conor McGregor also did not sit well with the fans. However, the Irishman came to the defense of EA Sports by revealing the different versions of Conor McGregor inside the game.

Conor McGregor wrote, “3 different styles, 3 different weight divisions. And still!! There’s only one Mac.” In a recently released game trailer, Michael Chandler beat up a bald version of the Irishman. It angered fans, and they went on X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their disappointment. However, McGregor’s reveal may have cheered them up.

The most enticing aspect of UFC games is that fans can play as their favorite fighter. The thought of playing with a low-quality version of McGregor did not sit well with most fans. However, it has been resolved as three versions of McGregor will appear in the game. McGregor remains the company’s biggest star despite his inactive status in the last couple of years.

The Irishman could make a return to the octagon by the end of the year. The December PPV card in Las Vegas does not have a main event yet. The UFC looks to book McGregor against Chandler for the final PPV event of the year. The USADA could pose a threat to the fight booking as McGregor has yet to enroll in the testing pool. If they do pose a threat, McGregor will only return in 2024.
