Conor McGregor revealed that he would fly out to Saudi Arabia to witness the boxing bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. The news surprised many in the MMA community as they did not expect the Irishman to attend the event. However, it is important to note that McGregor attended the highly anticipated bout between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia.

This is what Conor McGregor said about his plan to visit Saudi Arabia:

I will be heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia early AM in the morning. MMA ventures over to the boxing once again. This time in the kingdom and this time in the heavyweights. So excited to be there. I appreciate the invite sincerely, and I look forward to it so much.

He made a huge entrance via his Lambo Yacht in the Monaco Grand Prix. It was only a matter of time before he attended the Fury vs. Ngannou bout. Conor McGregor talks about Mike Tyson’s impact on Francis Ngannou’s camp

The Irishman also praised the influence of Mike Tyson on Ngannou’s boxing camp. Ngannou enlisted the help of Tyson to prepare for the upcoming fight. McGregor liked the idea of Tyson in Ngannou’s corner.

This is what Conor McGregor had to say:

With Mike Tyson in the corner, that kind of style could be the kryptonite of a long-rangey distance type of fighter. I don’t think Tyson’s gonna want to test his power on him. Mike Tyson might have given some takes to get inside the changing angle to bang a shot that clips the top of the temple.

Tyson had a ferocious style as a boxer. He would have been able to take on a long fighter like Fury. McGregor expects Tyson to train Ngannou to clip Fury during the bout. McGregor’s expertise on the matter makes sense, as Tyson fought longer fighters during his prime and knocked most of them out.
