Over the past few weeks, Conor McGregor has displayed that no fighter is off his radar. The former double division champion has been going haywire with his callouts on Twitter. Although McGregor will be facing Michael Chandler later this year, he has been teasing too many fights against too many opponents simultaneously. His most recent one is his rivalry with veteran MMA fighter Matt Brown.

Matt Brown managed to deliver a standout performance at UFC Charlotte against his opponent Court McGee. Brown scored a vicious knockout to finish the fight in the first round itself and secured his 13th career knockout in the UFC. This tied him up with heavyweight fighter Derrick Lewis for the most knockouts in UFC History. Brown was also praised by Dana White and awarded a $50,000 performance of the night bonus.

After Brown’s win, Conor McGregor sent out a tweet saying he is coming to break Matt’s record. This later escalated even further when Brown called McGregor a bum and accused of him steroid usage. McGregor later fired back and brought up Browns’ heroin addiction in a now-deleted tweet. However, it did not stop there. The Notorious went a step further and sent out yet another tweet threatening the veteran MMA fighter.

McGregor posted a video of a fight between Donald Cerrone and Matt Brown where the latter gets knocked out with a head kick. “Wanna see a dead body? ” wrote McGregor in his tweet calling out Matt Brown. The tweet has since been viral and Matt Brown has fired back at McGregor giving birth to a new rivalry in the world of combat sports.

The world of combat sports is witnessing a new rivalry between Conor McGregor and Matt Brown after the latter’s win at UFC Charlotte. After Matt Brown tied up with Derrick Lewis for most knockouts in UFC history, McGregor sent out a tweet saying that he will be breaking Matt’s record. Following the tweet Brown respectfully called out McGregor for a fight if he wanted the record for himself.

However, McGregor fired back at his offer calling it a woeful attempt. This led to a social media spat between the two fighters where Brown called McGregor a Bum and accused him of doing steroids. The war of words escalated further and McGregor called Brown a Heroin addict and posted another tweet with a video of Matt Brown getting knocked out by Donald Cerrone. The veteran MMA fighter also did not hold back and sent out a series of tweets replying to Conor McGregor. “

This guy woke up, did a bump, and started tweeting. I love it. I don’t know how to post gifs and shit wouldn’t be hard to find one of him getting his face smashed lol,” posted Brown. The back and forth between two fighters might not have the highest chance of materializing into a fight. Conor McGregor is set to fight Michael Chandler later this year. Whereas Brown is 42, so his days of fighting in the octagon are leaving him very fast.
