Conor McGregor continues to share his training update with old friend Dillon Dannis. Michael Chandler recently took to social media, where he asked McGregor to get into the USADA pool so that they could fight at the end of the year.
McGregor has lately made some controversial headlines at the Miami Heat vs. Denver Nuggets NBA finals. This raised a lot of questions about his availability for the expected fight with Chandler. However, to everyone’s surprise, the Irishman has given an update about his condition with a tweet. In the tweet, McGregor posted a few pictures of him training with Dillon Dannis.
In the captions, McGregor wrote: “Good sparring today at Church Street with @dillondanis. NYC Underground Kings, word to Eddie. You think you know. You have no idea. Onwards we go! #smile #check #soon ?.”
It seems like the former UFC double champion is taking this thing seriously and is keeping himself in good shape so that he can be fight ready later this year.
Is Conor McGregor’s TUF season as a coach a failure?
Earlier this year, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler joined TUF season 31 as coaches, and as expected, the hype was unreal. Given McGregor’s comeback after his horrific injury, fans were excited to see him as a coach.
However, McGregor’s season as a coach is not going as he would have expected. Up until now, four episodes have been released, and McGregor’s team is yet to register a win. ‘The Notorious’ is trailing 4-0 against Chandler as of now. Timur Valiev of Team Chandler defeated Trevor Wells of Team McGregor by unanimous decision in the most recent TUF 31 episode to advance to the bantamweight semifinals.
With the premiere of the fourth episode, fans have shown their frustration towards McGregor and his coaching skills on various social media platforms. However, for the UFC, it’s been a good season so far, as McGregor’s name is attracting a lot of attention.
