When starting psychological warfare with Conor McGregor, firstly you must be really sharp and secondly, you need to get your facts right, especially knowing the fact that McGregor is the biggest ever MMA megastar. McGregor was last seen in July 2021, losing via first-round doctor stoppage due to a fracture in the shin bone in the middle of his trilogy against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. McGregor has since started a war of words with multiple UFC fighters in the past like Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz and many more.

McGregor has also received a respectful callout as well from Michael Chandler. Chandler just came off a spectacular knockout win in just his fourth UFC fighter over an MMA legend like Tony Ferguson back in May at UFC 274. McGregor is most likely to return by the fall of this year if everything aligns right as has been said by UFC President Dana White, but only time and for some reason, McGregor’s wish will predict if he’s coming back to the Octagon this year.

McGregor has also expressed his desire for fighting for a third UFC title in his legacy by fighting for the welterweight title, currently earned and defended by Kamaru Usman. Usman is managed by Ali Abdelaziz from Dominance MMA management consultancy, the man who also managed McGregor’s biggest rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Abdelaziz recently picked up a tweet from McGregor’s Twitter feed that had McGregor enjoying his lunch and was almost a week ago from that time and reacted by quoting the Tweet and saying “Stick to cooking because you’re not good in fighting anymore meat and potatoes”

McGregor responded to this sharply by saying “I have a chef, silly.”

What do you make of McGregor’s comeback against Abdelaziz on Twitter? Who do you think will Conor return to fight next? Where do you put McGregor amongst the most recognizable faces in MMA history? Jorge Masvidal and Michael Chandler are the top runners in the list of fighters who want to fight McGregor, how do you see McGregor doing against both of them separately?
