Conor McGregor recently declared himself the best boxer in the whole UFC. McGregor announced this while at the IBA Champion’s Night in United Arab Emirates. This announcement came after he had a face-off against former Bantamweight champion Petr Yan.
McGregor was asked the question of what he thought about boxing. Petr Yan, another very competent and successful UFC fighter was also present there with him. Yan became the target of McGregor’s subtle joke, claiming that he is the best boxer in the UFC may be interpreted as a sly jab at Yan’s striking talents. However, this was all in good humor as McGregor went on to praise Yan’s boxing talent afterward. This is what he had to say:
