UFC megastar Conor McGregor is the highest-paid and the most renowned MMA fighter in the world. ‘Notorious’ put Ireland on the map after becoming the most successful Irish fighter. While McGregor was already a huge prospect after his UFC debut, his fame was propelled to another level after winning the interim featherweight title. Liam Neeson is a Northern Irish actor known who has received several accolades for his performances. Known for his popular action movies, Neeson is considered a bad*ss in his own rights. The actor stands 1.93 metres tall and has portrayed some of the most memorable and bad*ss characters in many of his movies. After winning the interim title against Chad Mendes, Conor McGregor was under serious limelight. He was even questioned about his celebrity status in Ireland.
While McGregor believed he was pretty famous he was quite humble. He accepted he was not more famous than the Irish singer and lead vocalist Bono of the rock band U2. McGregor was then questioned if he thought he was bigger than Liam Neeson which he playfully avoided answering. “Don’t ever f**k with Liam Neeson yeah. He’s gonna f**ing get you and your whole family. He’ll f**k you all up,” said McGregor.
Conor McGregor was smart enough to know that the Taken star has a very particular set of skills that can prove troublesome. Regardless, Neeson seems to have a problem with McGregor as he thinks the Irish fighter gives Ireland a bad rep.
Famous Irish actor Liam Neeson not a fan of Conor McGregor, calls him a little Leprechaun

UFC’s biggest cash cow, Conor McGregor was called out by Irish Actor Liam Neeson for giving a bad rep to Ireland. McGregor is Ireland’s most famous athlete and is a huge inspiration for many young and upcoming fighters. However, the Northern Irish actor is not a fan of McGregor.
During his interview with Men’s Health, Liam Neeson talked about his movies and past performances. The Taken actor also revealed that he cannot stand watching UFC and compared it with bar fights. “That to me is like a bar fight. I know the practitioners are like, ‘no, you’re wrong — the months of training we do …’ Why don’t you just grab a beer bottle and hit the other guy over the head? That’s the next stage of the UFC. I hate it,” said Neeson.
He also proceeded to take shots at Conor McGregor and called him a Leprechaun. “That little leprechaun Conor McGregor, he gives Ireland a bad name. I know he’s fit, and I admire him for that. But I can’t take it.” added the movie star. Usually, Conor McGregor would call out the person who insulted him. However, this time around McGregor simply tweeted ” Irish Proud,” alongside an emoji of the Irish flag.
