The renowned and multimillionaire UFC superstar, Conor McGregor, recently shared his thoughts on Francis Ngannou‘s new deal. McGregor, who holds the record for the most pay-per-view sales, is known for his business acumen. As a trusted figure in the eyes of the UFC president, McGregor’s opinion on the potential impact of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) on Ngannou’s life was eagerly anticipated. While sitting at the bar, McGregor was asked for his perspective on Ngannou’s new contract.

The Irishman was joined by top MMA reporter Ariel Helwani in an interview on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel. Ariel asked McGregor about his take on PFL’s new heavyweight, Francis Ngannou. Conor expressed happiness for ‘The Predator’, as he was able to crack the deal with one of the MMA promotions. But the former UFC lightweight was doubtful about what Francis was looking for.

McGregor said, “I’m happy for Francis first of all, fair play…he done his thing.” Puzzled, McGregor further said, “I still think he should’ve came to a resolution with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Who is he gonna fight? Who is he gonna fight that’s gonna capture the general public? There’s no one.”

The former double champion does not think that the PFL will get that excited about matchups against Ngannou. ‘The Notorious’ also thinks there isn’t any opponent who will be able to pique the public’s interest. However, the millionaire star praised Francis for doing a commendable job of getting the deal done with his opponent getting $2 million.

Although still, McGregor thinks there is nothing yet that can get him off the seat. Conor explained, “I can’t see a name that is going to make me go.” McGregor kept praising the knockout artist, but he thinks no one will be that capable.

As the talk continued, McGregor also admitted that he met Francis in California during his recovery session. Earlier, responding to the call out of Mike Perry at BKFC 41, Conor made his debut in bare hands, fighting rumors around. Taking this into consideration, McGregor revealed that he will surely be trying his luck in that domain of MMA. Since BKFC is all about striking, the UFC star looked excited to get the opportunity.

Conor said,“I would do it, yes I would! In a heartbeat I’ll do it. Yes, I would do it for sure. It’s hard to get a boring fight…It’s actually almost impossible for a boring fight to happen in it.”

The Notorious has yet to make his comeback in combat sports after two years. After losing to Dustin Poirier, Conor has recovered from his bone injury. But is the UFC star in his peak shape or not, for that fight fans have to wait.
