Conor McGregor recently announced his return date to the octagon. He unveiled fighting Michael Chandler in June 2024 for International Fight Week. This had the MMA community in ecstasy. UFC star Paulo Costa dug up old footage of McGregor’s training. This clip went viral during his prime days and made fans reminisce about the superstar’s early beginnings.
In the clip, Conor McGregor trained alongside a trainer at a public park. The public didn’t care much since it was before McGregor rose to superstardom. As such, McGregor minded his business and practiced his trademark spinning kicks. He drilled this numerous times and looked so fluid. This impressed Paulo Costa as he advised ‘The Notorious’ to continue those training methods. Here is what he wrote in the captions:

However, this video went viral in the early days of a comment made by Nate Diaz. The younger Diaz brother trash-talked McGregor for practicing in the park. Recently, McGregor announced his return to the UFC. Upon hearing this, Paulo Costa shared his interest in fighting McGregor in the future. As such, a potential fight between them might be on the cards.
Conor McGregor last fought in 2021 against Dustin Poirier. He suffered a gruesome leg injury, leading him to depart from the fight game. However, he promised to make a comeback, and only after two years did he officially announce his fight. So, McGregor fights Michael Chandler next in June 2024.

During his time at featherweight, Conor McGregor looked invincible with his karate stance. He stayed bouncy on the feet and timed his shots to perfection. His spinning kicks of him were a beautiful scene to watch. As such, UFC star Paulo Costa posted an old training video of ‘The Notorious’ and reminded everyone of his prime.
