“CTE takes again” – Former MMA fighter gets ripped by fans for calling Israel Adesanya ‘best middleweight of all time’

Brendan Schaub is an American former mixed martial artist, stand-up comedian, and podcast host. He had a brief stint in the UFC after which he retired from the organization with a record of 10-5. Recently he called Israel Adesanya the best middleweight of all time.

In the video that he shared on Youtube, he titled, ” Do NOT Give Up on Izzy, Here’s Why… ,” he shared his opinion on the Pereira-Adesanya rivalry and also commented on the upcoming match between the two rivals.

Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira both are former kickboxers who transitioned into the UFC. Adesanya who was the first to move went on to become the UFC Middleweight Champion securing a record of 23-2. Meanwhile, Alex Pereira who did not make his debut until 2021 revealed that it was an interview with Adesanya talking ill about him that motivated him to make the transition. “I love a challenge,” he said.

Alex had previously defeated Adesanya in the kickboxing ring twice. After debuting in the UFC he went on a winning streak to ultimately defeat Adesanya and became the UFC Middleweight Champion. This April they will be facing each other again for a rematch at UFC 287.

Twitter reacts to Brendan Schaub’s statement about Israel Adesanya

Brendan Schaub recently said Israel Adesanya “is the best middleweight we’ve ever seen”. The internet fans went nuts on this.

Brendan Schaub commented on this in his podcast on Youtube. Pereira’s fans took to Twitter to ridicule the statement. They shared videos of Israel Adesanya being beaten up by Alex Pereira in their former match and called out Schaub for not knowing what he is talking about.

Regardless of what anybody says, Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira 2 is going to happen this April in Miami, Florida. The two will go head-to-head for the middleweight championship and this may be Adesanya’s chance to break his streak of losses against Pereira.
