Dan Hardy believes Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway 3 will once again leave the fans in splits as he predicts the featherweights to fight a close war in their trilogy. The former fighter, and UFC analyst believes the two fighters have evolved a lot and they might end up leaving the fate of the fight to the hands of the judges.
UFC 276 is right around the corner and the pay-per-view event has the potential to be the best card of the year so far. One of the fights that headline this amazing PPV card is the much-awaited trilogy of Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. The two featherweights clash yet another time in their careers to probably decide who the best featherweight fighter of all time is. The fight takes place at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the trilogy takes place in the co-main event.
The last two meetings between Volkanovski and Holloway surely left the fans in a split arguing about who the winner of the fight is. In the two times, the two featherweights have met in the octagon, both times they have left the fate of the fight to the hands of the judges. UFC analyst Dan Hardy asks fans to brace themselves for the trilogy fight as he doesn’t think there would be much different from the first two fights. Hardy talks to Submission Radio and previews the entire UFC 276 card.

Dan Hardy foresees Alexander Volkanovski making another iconic title defense

“As much as I appreciate his [Max Holloway’s] evolution since their last fight, I still kind of feel like Volkanovski might just be able to edge him,” says Hardy in his interview with Submission Radio ahead of UFC 276. “And I think it’s going to be another close fight. It wouldn’t surprise me if Volkanovski wins the first one, then Max takes the second, third, and then Volkanovski wins the championship rounds.”
The previous outing was a very controversial fight as many fans and experts believed that Holloway should have won the fight against Volkanovski. Both Alexander and Max would come into the fight wanting to leave no doubts in the minds of the audience and seal the trilogy off in their favor. Dan gives Volkanovski the edge over Holloway after Alex’s last two title defenses against Brian Ortega and Korean Zombie.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s that kind of fight and we’re splitting rounds and we’re debating it. They’re just very evenly matched. Even though they’re very different, they’re very competitive with one another and the point of difference to me is that Volkanovski, he’s shown me can adapt in that last fight,” Dan Hardy gave his prediction for the amazing trilogy fight.
