The vacant BMF title will feature as the main event attraction at UFC 291. It is a fight that promises a display of striking at its best. Lightweight contenders Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier will fight for the vacant title to become the second BMF champion. They can cement their claim for a shot at the UFC lightweight gold with the BMF belt. Gaethje and Poirier will meet in the octagon at UFC 291 for the second time.

The former and only holder of the BMF belt Jorge Masvidal attended the UFC 290 event. He asked a reporter to pitch Dana White to allow him to wrap the belt around the waist of the title fight winner at UFC 291. White replied, “Sure! We could do that. Done, congrats“.Masvidal recently retired and vacated the title after his loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

The fans have long anticipated the second fight between Gaethje and Poirier. The first fight between the two in 2018 was a war in which Poirier claimed a fourth-round TKO victory. That fight between the two showcased how tough and determined both the fighters were to win. Both lightweight warriors showcased skill, heart, durability, and toughness during the first bout.

Legend Nate Diaz first imagined the BMF title after his victory over Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. After the win, he called out Masvidal to settle the debate about who is the baddest mf in the UFC. The fight finally took place at UFC 244, where Masvidal won via doctors stoppage as Diaz suffered an eye injury. The doctor deemed that Diaz had a risky cut to continue fighting.

Retired fighter Jorge Masvidal is known for collaborating with internet personalities such as Jake Paul and Logan Paul. He has recently offered to train billionaire Elon Musk for his potential super-fight against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. UFC middleweight fighter Sean Strickland also offered to help Musk train for the fight offering him to come to Vegas to put in the work.

This had all started when Musk posted a tweet on his Twitter account saying that he was up for a cage fight with Zuckerberg. The Facebook CEO replied with “Send me location, ” a catchphrase coined by UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. Due to this, many UFC fighters started offering to train both billionaires respectively.

We don’t know if this fight will actually take place or not, but it will for sure be one of the biggest non-professional fights in the history of the MMA community. Masvidal’s experience could come in handy for Musk.
