Henry Cejudo retired on May 9th, 2020, at UFC 249. However, Henry has always been vocal about making a return just 6 months post his announcement. Recently, he explicitly stated that he wants to make a UFC return. He tweeted out the following
Henry clearly wishes to come back, considering the fact that he is training to be in his best shape and obviously the tweets promulgating his comeback and inciting the public regarding the same. There is one particular individual Henry has had his eyes on since long and that is none other than, The Notorious Conor Mcgregor. Conor is the money fight and it is only fair for Henry to target that.
Dana White reacts to Henry Cejudo wishing to come back to fight Conor Mcgregor
Dana was asked by a TMZ reporter who could be the next potential opponent of Conor McGregor to which Dana replied that he will only consider finding an opponent for him when he’s physically ready to make a comeback. The reporter further asked if Henry Cejudo could be a potential opponent, to which Dana replied “Cejudo is retired” Further stated “Cejudo knows what he needs to get back, Talking shit on Instagram doesn’t get you fights”
Dana doesn’t seem too interested in that matchup, however, he wasn’t totally against it. He wishes Henry to actively participate in competing and not just talk trash online.
