Conor McGregor might fight his rival Michael Chandler in December’s PPV card in Las Vegas. The Irishman coached against Chandler on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter. Both fighters remain eager to fight each other, but Dana White recently became the bearer of bad news.

Rumors about the fight on December 16 began to emerge, which excited the fans. Dana White addressed the alleged leak of UFC 296 and stated that it did not come from the UFC. Furthermore, White said, “I don’t know how that got out or whatever. It wasn’t from Fight Pass.” White clarified that he would have reported the news on his Instagram if the leak were real. The rumor started when someone posted a screenshot of a UFC streaming service leak on Twitter.

The reporters asked White about McGregor’s potential return to the UFC in December after learning about the fake news. However, Dana White said he has no idea and will have to see how things play out by then.
