Since the UFC neared the monumental feat of 300 PPV events, fight fans went berserk with their expectations. As such, every announcement of UFC 300 made a huge buzz on the internet. However, an update about the main event remains a mystery. Now, UFC CEO Dana White revealed going through struggles with many “twists and turns” to fix the headliner.

In his recent appearance on the Full Send Podcast, Dana White shared a lot of things were hectic behind the scenes in scheduling the UFC 300 headliner. As such, he claimed a documentary could be made just on this, considering the level of drama that’s happening. This is what he said:

There are so many twists and turns and crazy f****** s*** going on behind the scenes...Everything that everybody thinks about UFC 300 right now literally could all change tomorrow. It's f****** crazy what's going on right now...There could actually be a documentary right now being shot of behind the scenes to build UFC 300.

Although the NELK boys pushed for some hints regarding the headliner of UFC 300, Dana White didn’t leak any information. He just stated there were two more fights to be announced, one being the main event and another a mid-level filler. Also, he wrote off Jon Jones as a potential name on the card.

Recently, many speculations and theories came around the announcement of UFC 300. One such thing was the UFC could announce the main event during the mega event of Super Bowl LVIII this Sunday. However, there was no official notice of any sort on the rumors. So far, the UFC has disclosed eleven fights, including top names like Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, Jiri Prochazka, Aljamain Sterling, Bo Nickal, and many more.

UFC CEO Dana White is still working on the main event for UFC 300. But, he has revealed which bout will open the highly anticipated UFC 300 fight card in April. It is the rematch between two former UFC champions, Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt.

During Super Bowl week, White disclosed this information in his appearance on the ‘Radio Row’ show. He stated that DEiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt would serve as the first fight of the early prelims. As such, he boasted about the fight card and claimed every fight from this pay-per-view could be a main event of its own.

Deiveson Figueiredo made his move up to bantamweight only recently and won his debut in the weight class against Rob Font. As such, he wanted to challenge for the title soon. Now, he would take on the former champion Cody Garbrandt, who also had his eyes locked on a second reign as the UFC champion. As such, this would be a high-stakes fight to open the historic UFC 300 fight card.
