Dana White shares a shocking info! UFC 274 turned out to be a huge success. The lineup for the card was amazing, and most fights lived up to their hype. It involved a lot of drama, but in the end, fans were left with a sweet taste in their mouth, and UFC’s management was more than happy about the event’s success.

Charles Oliveira was supposed to defend his undisputed lightweight throne at the main event of UFC 274, but after an unfortunate incident at the weigh-ins, he had to relinquish his belt, and he instead fought for the spot of the contender. Oliveira’s title reign ended on the scale as he missed the weight by 0.5 pounds, but he promised to put on a show against his opponent, Justin Gaethje, and in his mind, he believed he was the champ.

Justin came out guns blazing in the first round, but Oliveira withered the storm and choked him out in the very first round to get the win. The co-main event between Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza turned out to be an absolute snooze-fest. They threw 67 significant strikes combined after 5 rounds, and Carla got the split decision victory to become the champ.

One possible explanation is to stop Russian fighters from walking out with their flag, because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Many athletes from all around the world came in support of Ukraine after this war started, and it looks like the UFC is trying its best to steer away from picking up any unnecessary attention.
