Dana White credits Joe Rogan for the success of UFC: “To have a guy like him was very instrumental”

In a recent interview with Teddy Atlas, UFC President Dana White sings a song of praise of Joe Rogan. Rogan is no stranger to the internet. He isn’t just the host of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, one of the world most leading podcasts in the world, but is also a stand-up comedian and UFC commentator. So surely UFC fans are familiar with this personality.
He has had several eminent personalities who are notable in tier respective fields such as Elon Musk, Mike Tyson, Alex Jones, Ben Shapiro etc. One can access his podcasts on Spotify and can even watch clips of them on YouTube.
A song of praise for Joe Rogan by Dana White
In the latest interview with White, Teddy Atlas initially asks about what Dana thought was the important factor that led to the growth of the UFC, he explains that the sport itself brought in tons of viewership considering how vast the fighting style was, at the same time introducing the world to ground fighting and jiu-jitsu.
Dana then goes on to credit Rogan with much of the UFC’s growth and success. He explains how Rogan’s style of commentary played a huge role in people keeping up with the sport.
Dana tells Atlas, “ And another guy who deserves a ton of credit for helping build this sport..is Joe Rogan. And the reality is that when we got into this, you know everybody understood stand-up fighting, Punching, kicking, elbows we all get that. The big thing was that when we went to the ground, how many people are really going to understand what they are seeing?
Joe Rogan was first of all passionate about the sport. He was so good at walking you through what was going on before it even started to happen. To have a guy like him was very instrumental.”
