“The way the public will perceive it “- Dana White draws parallels between the Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway and Julianna Peña vs Amanda Nunes rivalries

The UFC has grown to its present level in part because to Dana White. White, who was born and raised in New England, relocated to Las Vegas in the 1980s, which forever altered his life. Dana White, a boxing coach in Boston before moving to Las Vegas, found work as a fighter manager. When the UFC was still a new promotion, White also oversaw a few athletes who participated in it.
He deserves the majority of the credit for this because he was the impetus behind many of the UFC’s innovations that made it the “brand name” for MMA, such as the decision to refer to the activity as “ultimate combat” rather than “mixed martial arts.”

“What you gotta do”- Dana White on why Julianna Peña would have to beat Amanda Nunes to receive her due
After one of her worst training camps, Amanda Nunes suffered her biggest career loss. The former two-division UFC women’s champion recently discussed the difficulties she had prior to her shocking defeat to Julianna Pea at UFC 269 in December 2021.
Nunes was adamant on continuing the contest because she had already withdrawn from the original booking versus Pea, which was set for August at UFC 265, after testing positive for COVID-19. She felt under pressure to continue the battle since she didn’t want to see an interim belt in the category.
People of the MMA community are yet to give Pena the credit she deserves primarily because of the figure Nunes is in the sport. Upon this, a TMZ reporter asked a question to Dana regarding the same, to which he stated, “She is not wrong, she is right. That’s the way the public perceives it too, Look at how many times Alexander Volkanovski has to fight Max Holloway, sometimes, it’s what you gotta do. I am looking forward to it.”Here is the said video:
