The president of the UFC Dana White clapped back at critics once again. Fans and viewers claimed the rumored fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to be a ‘gimmick fight.’ This noticeably angered White, who decided to counter the argument via Instagram.

“This isn’t a gimmick fight,” said Dana White upon claims from fans. He then alluded to Francis Ngannou fighting Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua in boxing and said, “Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and know how it ends.” The president of the UFC was responsible for the infamous Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather bout. ‘The Notorious’ shift from MMA to boxing failed to meet success as he lost via a TKO.

Dana White then went on to defend the Zuckerberg vs Musk fight. “This is a fight between two of the most powerful/richest guys in the world.” He continued, “Who will win? Who has seen this before? Nobody. It’s also a crossover fight that literally everyone will watch. [h/t MMA Junkie]” Judging by the fiery clap back, the president of the UFC seemed serious about setting this fight up.

The UFC president’s statement did not sit right with fans. On Twitter, fans viciously called out Dana White. His claims of Francis Ngannou going into boxing being a ‘gimmick fight’ came back to haunt him once again.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter of heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua revealed their disinterest in fighting Francis Ngannou. According to Hearn, ‘AJ’ wanted to focus on his boxing career rather than doing an exhibition bout. Upon hearing this, Dana White chimed in to give his opinion on the matter.

“I don’t think that he’s [Francis Ngannou] afraid of anybody. PLF is going to pay this guy to train for a boxing match that may not even happen. They might not even be involved in. It doesn’t make sense to me,” said Dana White.

He then referenced his reported opponent. “Anthony Joshua called it a gimmick fight. That’s one of the biggest problems with boxing right now. It’s all about these gimmicky type fights. And, that’s just not what I do here. I put on fights with the best fighters in the world. And, fights that people wanna see,” said Dana White.

This was a controversial statement from Dana White. Fans were not pleased to hear this. However, with the rumored fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, fans go on a rampage against the president of the UFC.
