Former US President Donald Trump has a significant history with the UFC. He has attended many UFC events and let the UFC host their early events at his private properties during the early days. He has a great relationship with UFC President Dana White, and they have remained friends for over a decade. White recently spoke about his speech at Trump’s Republican convention.
In a recent interview with “Big Boy TV,” White spoke on his relationship with Trump and how he ended up speaking at the convention. He revealed how he immediately accepted Trump’s request for White to speak at the convention. He said, “Look what this guy did for us, and then he asked me to come speak for him. You are damn right it I am. I didn’t show up to give a political speech. I couldn’t give a sh*t.”
White has always spoken highly of Trump and appreciated him for his support of the UFC. They met in 2001 when White was the new president of the UFC, and he struggled to find arenas to hold events. However, Trump sought a way to promote his Atlantic City casinos. Trump agreed to host two UFC events at his Trump Taj Mahal casino.
Trump has attended many UFC events and has always received loud applause from the fans whenever he attends them. Undoubtedly, White will forever be grateful to Trump for helping him jumpstart the UFC. Fans will look forward to seeing Trump at future UFC events.

White recently spoke about how he led the UFC to success by embracing adversity and chaos. He said that usually people are scared of that and fall for it. However, negativity was an energizer for him, and he thrived in chaos. White said he advertised the UFC through radio as no one had access to social media then. He believed that the UFC was majorly advertised and did the majority of sales due to radio.
Dana White’s contributions to the UFC cannot be overstated. He is the man who turned the UFC from a small, struggling organization into a global phenomenon. He is also the man who helped to make MMA one of the most popular sports in the world.
