In recent announcements, UFC CEO Dana White has made some great additions to the year-end UFC 295 and UFC 296 cards. These additions have left some curiosity for the upcoming UFC 294 card. Despite announcing the main and the co-main event, fans are eager to know about the other fighters competing in the Abu-Dhabi card. In the wake of this news, White experienced a hilarious interaction with a fan on social media.
A fan commented on Dana White’s Instagram post, “ Yo tomato head, announce the whole UFC 294 card.” To this, White gave a subtle reply. He wrote, “No.” The fan’s comparison of White’s bald hairstyle to a tomato might have rubbed the UFC CEO in the wrong way. The fan never got his desired response. However, as the UFC 294 card approaches, some updates on other fights will be released.
Currently, all eyes are on the main event fight between lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira. Oliviera will be looking forward to attaining his revenge after his submission loss to Makhachev. This fight is Makhachev’s second title defense after his controversial bout against Alexander Volkanovski. The co-main also consists of another blockbuster matchup.
Khamzat Chimaev is set to face off Paulo Costa in a middleweight bout. Both fighters share some amount of bad blood and are eager to face each other in the octagon. With such great fights lined up, the curiosity among fans for the other fighters is increasing day by day. The UFC will announce the whole card as October 22 inches closer.
Dana White adds another blockbuster fight to the UFC 296 card
UFC 296 will feature welterweight champion Leon Edwards, who will defend his title against #2 ranked welterweight Colby Covington. The co-main event also includes another title fight between Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royal. With this amazing lineup, White has added another exciting matchup. Reportedly, Irishman Ian Garry will take on Vicente Luque in a welterweight matchup at UFC 296.

Garry is one of the most promising welterweights in the division. His recent win against Neil Magny has brought him a lot of spotlight. Garry previously asked for a fight with Stephen Thompson. However, his ask was rejected as Thompson had different plans. A fight against a well-established opponent like Vicente Luque will not be a walkover for the Irishman.
Undoubtedly, Luque can create major problems for Garry. His recent win against Rafael dos Anjos has shown his caliber to still compete at a higher stage. This matchup will bring entertainment and could do a lot for upcoming UFC fighters. The event is set to happen on December 16th in Las Vegas.
