“Early stoppage is my s*x life”- Dana White leaves audience IN RAPTURES after his stand-up performance
Dana White
Dana White is best known as the president of the UFC and arguably, also as the face of mixed martial arts.
Maybe it’s time we give Dana White another badge of honour – in a clip that has appeared online, Dana White seems to have put his day job as UFC president on hold while performing a stand-up routine in what looks like a comedy club.
In the video, the gaff that he delivered went like this, “Been married to the same woman for 20 years… Early stoppage is my sex life!” This one-line bomb had the audience in stitches, as they could not have anticipated the boss of a billion-dollar company delivering such a funny line, at his own expense. Maybe, he has been listening to Joe Rogan‘s specials closely.
Dana White is not your typical boss, though. Across the decades that he has been mediating press conferences, White has come up with amazing one-liners and clap backs at over-enthused reporters looking for a cheap click for their respective website.
One of the most hilarious instances of Dana White’s witty one-liners was when he was perplexed at a reporter introducing himself as a “former Mexican”, to which White said, “How does that work? You used to be, now you’re not?”
Dana White comes under blast for giving Nelk Boys member $250,000 in cash
Dana White does everything in his power to make the sport of MMA, and his organization as palatable to the general public, as possible. Some of his efforts include striving to put on shows at the UFC Apex and in Abu Dhabi when all other sports had been brought to a standstill, making the UFC social media and YouTube accounts enter into mainstream viewing, and also regularly interacting with the “it” stars of the youth.
The “it” stars of the youth, in question, have come in the shape of the popular YouTube mega-group, The Nelk Boys. Dana White can regularly be seen interacting with them, inviting them to the big PPV events and even celebrating birthdays.
However, it was one such instance that crossed the line, according to the MMA fanbase. Kyle (Member of the Nelk Boys) was gifted a quarter million in cash by White, as a birthday treat. This did not sit very well with fighters, fans and experts who lambasted him for splurging on unnecessary PR moves, while his fighters starve.
The issue of fighter pay will stay relevant as long as the pay structure remains disproportional in the sport. While arguments can be made for and against the UFC and its brass’ (Dana White, Hunter Campbell and Sean Shelby, among others) role, Dana White must be careful in how he proceeds in his dealings, as small actions like this can wreak havoc on the company’s image.
