Dana White recently announced the first title fight for UFC 300. In a move that did not entertain fans, White announced Zhang Weili vs Yan Xioanan for the strawweight title. The announcement did not get a positive response. Nevertheless, as usual, White went to play Blackjack after the announcement.
White is a close friend of Stephen Deleonardis of the NELK Boys. White had even rescued him when he lost money playing blackjack. Deleonardis had once gifted White half a million dollars when he won playing Blackjack. Now, Deleonardis live-streamed White’s recent casino escapades on his Kick stream. Interestingly, Dana White met a psychic in the stream and conversed with her.
Deleonardis had hired the psychic for his friend, which surprised White. White also learned that the psychic helped Deleonardis win good money in the slot machine. Moreover, she even predicted good things for Deleonardis at the Blackjack table.
White is an avid gambler. He is notorious for gambling with huge amounts of money. As such, many Casinos banned him from gambling. However, other casinos warmly welcome White. White’s closest friends are the former UFC owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, who own many Las Vegas casinos. Moreover, White even took his son to gamble when he legally came of age to do so.
Fights announced for UFC 300 by Dana White
UFC 300 is a coveted PPV for the UFC. Initially, fans presumed it to be the event to witness the return of Conor McGregor. However, McGregor announced his return fight on June 29. Dana White has already announced five fights in total for UFC 300. Currently, fans believe UFC 299, headlined by Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera, to be more stacked than UFC 300. However, White has already pledged to make UFC 300 the most stacked card ever.
White first announced three fights for UFC 300 in late December of 2023. The UFC CEO initially announced Aljamain Sterling vs. Calvin Kattar, Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksandar Rakic, and Cody Brundage vs Bo Nickal. White announced a number one contender fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan for UFC 300 a day before.
White’s most recent announcement of Yan Xioanan vs. Zhang Weili did not go well with MMA fans. However, White has hinted at revealing some more fights for UFC 300 that may put the fans’ disappointment away. Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira, Israel Adesanya, Belal Muhammad, Leon Edwards, and Khamzat Chimaev, among others, are rumored to fight at UFC 300.
