Julianna Pena vs Amanda Nunes
Julianna Pena achieved the unthinkable when she submitted Amanda Nunes to claim the women’s bantamweight title in the UFC 269. Julianna’s victory is regarded as the biggest upset in UFC history. Amanda Nunes is regarded as the greatest female fighter on this planet and defeating her is no small feat.
However, Julianna feels like she still has a lot to do in order to earn the respect she deserves. In her recent interview with TMZSports, Julianna talked about still feeling like an underdog against Amanda and how everyone thinks her win was a fluke. Julianna said: “Everyone thinks it was a fluke there’re tons of naysayers out there and negative people that think that I just fell out of the blue sky and just ended up winning on that night.”
Julianna also claimed that she will defeat Amanda again in the rematch and will prove to everyone that she is a real champion. Julianna said: “I won that fight fair square and if you don’t believe me well, then you’re gonna have to watch me do it again the second time, and then maybe you guys will quit doubting me.”

Reacting to what Julianna said, Dana White, in his recent interview, said that he believes Julianna is a great fighter but when you defeat a fighter like Amanda Nunes who is regarded as the greatest female fighter on the planet, you need to do it again for everyone to believe in you
He said, “When you beat somebody like Amanda Nunes, unfortunately, you got to do it twice. You know you do it twice and people will start to give you respect.” Nunes and Pena are starring against each other in the latest installment of The Ultimate Fighter, both of them are excited to serve as the coaches, and they’d settle their rivalry for good after they wrap up shooting of the same.
TUF is a reality show and MMA competition by the UFC. The winner of TUF is provided a contract with the UFC and there are many previous winners who have made it big after winning TUF. Michael Bisping, Tony Ferguson, and Kamaru Usman are some of the fighters who previously won TUF. Julianna Pena, who is a coach this season, also won TUF season 18 and is now making a comeback as a coach.
Both the teams have been decided and they will fight against each other and in the end, the winner will become the Ultimate Fighter. In the first episode, Zac Pauga from team Pena fought against Nyle Bartling from team Nunes. The fight ended with Zac Pauga defeating Nyle Bartling by unanimous decision.
