“Helped build womens MMA”- Dana White promises Joanna Jedrzejczyk a spot on the UFC Hall of Fame

Joanna recently fought Zhang Weili at UFC 275 but the fighter lost the fight via knockout. It was Jedrzejczyk’s second loss in a row to the same opponent. After the fight, the Polish shocked the world by announcing her retirement. In her retirement speech, the fighter thanked everybody including the fans and UFC staff members.

” Guys, I love life so much,” Jedrzejczyk said as she spoke with interviewer Daniel Cormier following the loss inside the octagon. “I’m retired, guys. I love you so much. Thank you for the support.”

Although it was coming given that Jedrzejczyk is currently 34 years old it was shocking to hear that from the fighter. Jedrzejczyk has been in the fight business since 2012 and made her UFC debut in 2014. Throughout her career, the fighter faced incredible opponents and defeated most of them. Jedrzejczyk is a UFC legend with multiple title defences in the women’s strawweight division.

Dana recently answered some media questions in the UFC on ESPN 37 post-fight press conference. During the conversation, white was asked whether Jedrzejczyk is going to be a UFC Hall of Famer.

While responding to the question, White instantly with no hesitation confirmed that Jedrzejczyk is going to be a Hall of Famer. White explained that Joanna Jedrzejczyk is one of those fighters to help in structuring women’s MMA. White revealed that the fighter was fun to watch and got a lot of love and support from fans. White was happy that Joanna Jedrzejczyk completed her career in UFC. He said :

” Oh, without a doubt. One of the women who helped build women’s MMA, especially in the UFC – always fun to watch, always came to fight. Her walk in that night when she got to the arena, (was) gangster as usual. I love everything about Joanna, and I’m glad that she fought and ended her career here with us.”

Jędrzejczyk without a doubt deserves all the respect and love due to her impeccable record and contributions. She will be enjoying her retirement life but fans would love to see her in UFC during promotions and pay-per-view events.
