“Nobody’s fighting for their life”- Dana White reassures they won’t release the loser of Tony Ferguson vs Michael Chandler fight

Dana White talks about Michael Chandler vs Tony Ferguson
Dana White talks about Chandler vs Ferguson! Tony Ferguson is going to fight former title challenger Michael Chandler next weekend at UFC 274, which is headlined by the current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira looking forward to the second title defense against Justin Gaethje.
Ferguson in his prime has secured wins over the likes of Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Kevin Lee, Rafael Dos Anjos, Josh Thomson, Edson Barboza, Lando Vannata, Gleison Tibau, and many more. Ferguson, who was known for his illustrious 12-fight winning streak in the UFC at one point in time, has been going through a three-fight skid.

All those fights went to distance- with Gaethje fight being stopped only by the near end of the fight- but Ferguson got heavily dominated in each one of them. Many believe his best days are over him, but Tony is hungry to get back in the win column, and you can never count The Boogyman out.
“These guys always bring it”- Dana White is looking forward to the lightweight clash between Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler is former Bellator’s lightweight champion, and after being picked by the UFC, he has his eyes set on the lightweight throne. Chandler started his career with a first-round knockout of Dan Hooker. He got a chance to compete for the title against Charles Oliveira, and after an amazing start, he got knocked out by the champ.
His next fight was against Justin Gaethje, and even though he lost that fight as well, his stocks went up, and people proclaimed it as the best lightweight contest they’ve ever seen. Considering their last fights, these fighters are having a hard time finding their footing in the division, but the boss Dana White claims they have nothing to worry about in terms of their future with the organization.
Talking to The Underground, White said, “You’re still talking about No. 5 vs. No. 7 in the nastiest division in the sport. So if you look at who they’ve lost to, it’s all the best in the world. These guys always bring it. They always come to fight. Nobody’s fighting for their life in this one.”
