Ultimate Fighting Championship has become a household name in the world of combat sports. The organization was not always in a great state and it was not always run by Dana White. Considered one of the shrewdest businessmen, White not only paid $2 million for the company name UFC but also fought for its use.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship was first established by businessman Art Davie and martial artist Rorion Gracie. With no solid rules or weight classes in place, UFC events were held to identify the most effective martial arts. The whole concept of such fights was new to the crowd and did not seem to catch up soon enough. The company was going into a loss and was brought by the Fertitta brothers for $2 million. However, UFC President Dana White revealed what they actually received for their money during their purchase.

According to White, all the rights of the company and anything valuable were sold off. It was the only way to keep things running and included everything from media rights to video game rights and more. White and the Fertitta brothers only received the three letters, UFC and an old wooden octagon. Dana also revealed that even the domain name of the company UFC.com did not belong to the organization.

We did not even own UFC.com, UFC.com used to be user-friendly computers. Now the guy that owned that company, he and I battled for years,” stated the UFC head honcho. Although, Dana White had a hard time making the company a household name it was all worth it. The company started with $2 million and after its recent merger with WWE, it is valued at over $12 billion.

Very few private events have been held at the Colosseum in the past decades, making the proposal of very huge significance. Dana White After a long time will get to stage a fight where actual gladiators fought to the death. Both the Billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are enthusiastic about their fight taking place at the Colosseum.

While the Colosseum is a great venue, it offers a very limited amount of seating. If the bout takes place inside or outside the Colosseum is still a huge question. Regardless, this will be a huge opportunity for UFC and Dana White.
