“He was blown away,” Dana White reveals Donald Trump’s shocking reaction to Dricus Du Plessis massive size

The whole international fight week card put out by the UFC was a huge success. With fans loving all the fights on the card, the whole event was nothing short of a spectacle. Along with a stacked card, the T-Mobile Arena was also filled with many stars in attendance. Among them was one of the UFC’s biggest fans and former President of the USA, Donald Trump, who was impressed with Dricus Du Plessis.

Du Plessis pulled off what many thought was impossible. He managed to finish former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in the second round with a flurry of punches. Du Plessis was a massive underdog going into his fight, but he proved everyone wrong with his performance. After getting the TKO on Whittaker, Du Plessis jumped out of the cage to greet Donald Trump.

Trump is one of Dana White’s close friends and has attended many UFC shows. He did not miss the international fight week despite being under federal indictment and enjoyed the whole event. Dana White, during the post-fight interview, was questioned about Trump’s presence at the event and his reaction to being greeted by Du Plessis.

“He was blown away. He was basically talking ‘ goddamn this guy is huge, he’s a big strong guy,” answered Dana. While the South African fighter also had a great time meeting Trump, he was later bombarded with expletives by Israel Adesanya. The South African fighter also called out The Stylebender’s erratic behavior, labeling him a clown.

Dricus Du Plessis was not impressed with Israel Adesanya’s childish behavior

UFC middleweight fighter Dricus Du Plessis last weekend pulled one of the biggest upsets in UFC history. The South African fighter knocked down Robert Whittaker in the second round at UFC 290 and cemented himself as the next title-shot contender. Following his win, Du Plessis also called out Adesanya, who was in attendance for the event.

Adesanya then stepped inside the octagon and berated the South African fighter with heavy foul language. Du Plessis was clearly not a fan of Adesanya’s behavior and called him a clown. “He’s behaving like a clown in there. That’s not how a champion behaves. That’s not at all how a man behaves. He’s behaving like a child. Conduct yourself like a champion. There’s people looking up to you, and you’re behaving like that,” said Du Plessis.

The feud between the two fighters will certainly attract eyeballs to their encounter inside the octagon. Israel Adesanya will be looking forward to defending his title once again after reclaiming it from Alex Pereira. The Stylebender will headline UFC 293’s main card, most likely against his South African nemesis.
