UFC president Dana White has revealed he will not attend UFC 275 in Singapore. UFC will hold their first Pay-Per-View event in Singapore on June 11 and Dana has decided to skip the event. Dana is the president of the UFC and has a staggering net worth of $500 million. UFC was sold to WWE-IMG for $4bn USD in 2016 and Dana reportedly received 10% of the total amount.
Besides Dana, commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan will also miss the event. The UFC 275 card has two title fights, and the event is star-packed. In the main event, light middleweight champion Glover Teixeira will defend his for the first time title against challenger Jiri Prochazka. In the Co-main event, Pound-for-Pound best female fighter Valentina Shevchenko will defend her title for the seventh time against Brazilian fighter Taila Santos.
The event will also feature big names such as Weili Zhang, Manel Kape and many more. Dana White talked about his absence in a recent interview with Spinnin’ Backfist MMA Show and he said: “It’s my son’s 21st birthday this weekend. Me and my son are gonna gamble for the first time on his birthday on Thursday then we’re flying down to Miami for the weekend. Caesar’s Palace, baby, it’s the best casino in town. Even if they kick me out, I’ll still be telling you they’re the best in town.”
“Should be an Olympic sport“- Dana White believes MMA can be successful as an Olympic sport

UFC president Dana White believes MMA can be amazing for the Olympics. Dana, in his recent interview, talked about getting MMA into Olympics and he believes MMA can be a part of the Olympics soon. However, Dana also said there are complications about getting MMA into Olympics and he is not looking to do the job.
Dana answered a question asked by a Twitter user and said: “I think it should be an Olympic sport already. It’s not my job, it’s not what I’m looking to do. I’m not pushing to turn this thing into an Olympic sport. And I agree with whoever said that, yes, and not to mention one of the big problems the Olympics is having right now is viewership. You want viewers? Put MMA in the Olympics.”
MMA is still considered a controversial sport because of many claims that it is way too brutal and with little to no rules, it can be a very dangerous sport. Dana pointed out the viewership problem in the Olympics and said that MMA might be their solution. While many advocates getting MMA into Olympics, getting an added to the Olympics is a long and complicated process and the UFC president is in no mood to handle it.
