Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo have established themselves as major voices in the MMA community with their new podcast. Their guest was top honcho Dana White, who talked about the rise of the UFC, the legacy of Usman, and the impending return of superstar Conor McGregor.

The Pound 4 Pound show podcast has already brought on an array of big names. The UFC CEO became the latest one to grace the podcast. Too long on the shelf, McGregor has voiced concerns over his return. He is adamant about facing TUF: 31-season coaching rival Michael Chandler in June and appearing at UFC Noche next. Even away from the scope of a fight, he remains as ready as ever. This is what the UFC CEO had to say about McGregor:

Conor McGregor is a fu*king unicorn, okay - when you run into a Conor McGregor, yes he's funny he's got the personality... but at the end of the day what people really loved is that he never turned down a fight...there's video footage of me and Lorenzo standing in his house, he just wakes up in his fu*king underwear, has been training for a fight, tons of money spent on both sides ...you see him sort of absorb it for a minute and he's like well I'm going to the gym call me later and let me know who I'm fighting.

While Usman and Henry Cejudo are fresh from decision losses, an injury forced the Irishman out. Dana White has advocated for a sound camp in place for the former champion to show his commitment to bounce back to action. This comes in light of McGregor’s already loaded status as one of the richest combatants, and hence, there is no need to review contractual terms.

Desperate to work through his ring rust, Conor McGregor is consequently not ruling out crossover stints with ‘YouTube nerds’ Jake Paul, KSI, and even Tommy Fury. However, any crossover fight would only happen if the UFC allows it. Despite no official information regarding McGregor’s return, the UFC CEO will never stop praising the Irishman for his legacy.

Dana White lauds Kamaru Usman as welterweight GOAT following immense praise for Conor McGregor

Former welterweight king Kamaru Usman and bantamweight Olympian Henry Cejudo have their weekly MMA show. Speaking to MMA Junkie‘s coverage journo Mike Bohn, they had promised an array of guests for the “Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru and Henry” podcast. And they delivered on the list with the appearance of none other than Dana White.

The UFC CEO has his favorite workhorses like Sean O’Malley, 265-pound G.O.A.T Jon Jones, and others. This also included fighter in-absentia McGregor. White deliberated on the much-anticipated return of Conor McGregor, future fight cards, and building up the company as a whole. Accordingly, during the discourse, he praised Usman as one of the greatest 170lbers of all time.

Check out what he said in the footage down below.

Kamaru Usman stepped in on less than ten days’ notice to face Khamzat Chimaev last. Before that, the last 8 of his outings were title runs, ranging back from 2019. Consequently, he has made five successful defenses and gone through top staples in the welterweight division. A commonality he shares with the likes of friends and peers Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.

In no shortage of words, White praises him as the greatest undeniable welterweight in the current era. To which even compatriot and co-host Henry Cejudo signed on. Much like McGregor himself, the MMA community also looks forward to the future of these fighters.
