“I don’t even know,” Dana White shoots down the idea of a MASSIVE comeback fight for Conor McGregor, reveals he doesn’t know when the Irishman will return to the UFC

Conor McGregor and Dana White

Conor McGregor has been out of action in the UFC ever since his horrific leg injury, suffered at the hands of Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Recently, rumors began to swirl of a potential comeback fight for him against Michael Chandler.

However, UFC President Dana White shut down those rumors as quickly as they began. White insisted that no timeframe has been established for The Notorious’ return. And according to him, there certainly have been no discussions of a potential fight against Michael Chandler. “Never f***ing once did I say Conor McGregor vs. Chandler. I don’t even know when Conor McGregor’s coming back. And this is why I don’t like to answer these kinds of questions.” said the President of the world’s largest MMA promotion.

White explained that he believed it would be a fun fight but it wasn’t even close to being made. He also took shots at the people on the internet who spread rumors like these. “…some f***ing idiot somewhere on the Internet puts out that that’s what I said, and it’s not even remotely close to what I said.” said White. And just like that, the dream match against Michael Chandler has once again been put on ice. However, if Dana is to be believed, and he should be, then this was wishful thinking on the fans’ part all along.
