Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis were the reason for it. They both got into an unexpected brawl for unknown reasons. The UFC CEO, Dana White, blamed himself for the incident and cursed himself.
After the heated physical altercation between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis, Dana White took accountability for the incident. In the post-fight press conference, White addressed that he was responsible for the seating arrangements and that it was his mistake to seat the two middleweights close by. Soon, UFC security came in time to rescue the fighters and stop them from further interactions. Now, Dana White mentioned that both the fighters were unhurt, and the situation was called off.

As such, Du Plessis brought up Strickland’s troubled childhood and his relationship with his father. This hit a nerve in the middleweight champion, and he looked furious after this interaction. Soon, Dana White ended the presser and squared them off in a heated face-off.
Sean Strickland became the UFC champion with his dominant win over Israel Adesanya. Also, he shot up in stardom after this. Now, he is set to defend his title against Dricus Du Plessis in UFC 297. ‘Stillknocks’ was coming off a great win over Robert Whittaker and hoped to become the first UFC champion from South Africa.
