UFC was one of the very few companies that were working when the Covid-19 pandemic shut down everything. With Dana White’s vision, the organisation’s fanbase grew by 46 %. UFC was not the only company that managed to remain functional during the tough times. WWE led by Vince McMahon was another company that was putting out shows while ensuring everyone’s safety in Florida. However, it was also around this time that Dana White was berated by an angry Vince McMahon.
In an interview with the Pivot podcast, Dana White revealed he was berated by an irritated Vince McMahon. White explained that then-President Donald Trump had set up a call with White and a bunch of other guys on the panel. They would get on a call every week and talk about how they were running things during Covid. White revealed that one time he was on the call listening to others thinking they are full of sh*t as none of them will do what they wanted to expect from one guy, Vince McMahon. So naturally, White was quiet during the whole duration of the call. After the call ended his phone blasted with messages from Vince McMahon.
“Why didn’t you talk? Why didn’t you back up what I was saying? And we gotta go through this and all this other sh*t,” said McMahon scolding White. To which White replied he thought all of them were full of shit except for Vince. White Later appreciated Vince calling him a ‘f*king killer’ for not stopping due to Covid-19 pandemic.
After the recent UFC and WWE merger both companies will have a combined worth of over 21 billion dollars. The new partnership will result in the growth of both fan bases resulting in better viewership and sponsorships for both companies.

Dana White opens up on recent merger between UFC and WWE
UFC’s parent company Endeavor recently acquired WWE, causing tremors in the sports and entertainment industry. After UFC 287’s success in Miami White was asked about what he thought about the recent deal between the two companies. “I like the deal, I’m super supportive of it,” said White in the interview.
According to Dana, Ari Emanuel chairman of Endeavor and now the newly formed company made sure everyone was good before the deal was confirmed.
White also stated that the merger does not change anything when it comes to the operation of the two organisations.
“They’re gonna do what they do. We’re gonna do what we do. The parent company and Ari will help them in a lot of ways they know they can help them,” added White. Dana White also believes that Ari Emanuel will be worth a lot of value to the WWE and might play a pivotal role in their television rights deal.
The merger between UFC’s parent company Endeavor and WWE remains the biggest news to happen in the sports and entertainment industry this month.
With over 21 billion dollars in combined worth and a nearly 2 billion viewer base, the new company is set to shake up the industry. While the new trademarked name of the company hasn’t been announced yet, it will be made public soon.
