Dana White is a notorious gambler. His love for gambling is second only to fight promotion. White and Taylor Lewan recently saved Steve Deleonardis when the influencer was about to lose money at a Casino. Now, a recent video showed White winning $120,000 on Blackjack in one of the UFC CEO’s favorite casinos, the Red Rock in Las Vegas.
Many casinos in Las Vegas do not allow White to bet due to his proclivity to bet very big. UFC commentator Joe Rogan once saw Dana White lose thousands of dollars quickly and win it back moments later. White famously took his son to gamble when he crossed the legal age to gamble. UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes that the gambling proclivities of White is due to his extensive wealth.
Even though Dana White is a notorious gambler, the UFC banned betting on fights for fighters and their team and family. This was due to the controversy caused by James Krause for inside betting. Krause caused a huge uproar, and he now faces an embargo from Mixed Martial Arts. Even fighters associated with Krause cannot fight in the UFC until investigations clear them of wrongdoing.
Dana White recently promised to announce some blockbuster fights for 2024. This is after the news of Francis Ngannou vs. Anthony Joshua broke out. ESPN recently reported that Ngannou vs. Joshua will be on March 8, 2024, which does not coincide with UFC 299, headlined by Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera.
UFC Hall of Famer calls out Dana White’s Twisted Steel
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC during his heyday. He has retired and has recently appeared in a Daily Wire movie with Gina Carano. Recently, Cerrone was in attendance at Professional Bullriders. Interestingly, Cerrone is a bull rider as he trained in it at Air Academy High School.
Cerrone called out Twisted Steel, the Dana White-owned bull in the PBR. Interestingly, Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC, owns PBR. White has heard the callout and reposted Cerrone’s callout on his social media. White bought Twisted Steel from Bryce Cooper.
Cerrone has 18 post-fight bonuses in UFC history. Only Charles Oliveira has more than Cerrone. ‘Cowboy’ had a history of accepting short-notice fights and was willing to fight whenever asked. Cerrone once unsuccessfully challenged Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title in the UFC. He finished his career in the UFC in the backdrop of a losing streak.
