At DWCS, Finney submitted Panferov with a second-round rear-naked choke. However, the moments after the fight truly captivated fans and blew up social media. Referencing The Rock’s iconic catchphrases, Finney declared, “Well, if you can Smellllllllllllll, what Torrez is cooking.” Prior to the catchphrase, Finney referenced Biblical quotes that he read prior to his bout.

The stoppage at the end of the third round was due to a cut on Diaz’s eye, and Masvidal was declared the winner. Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a The Rock, with his characteristic charisma, entered the Octagon to present the belt to Masvidal. Fans were ecstatic to see two icons from different worlds share the same stage. Masvidal became a superstar after his knockouts over top welterweights Darren Till and Ben Askren. The Ben Askren knockout took only 5 seconds.
