Businessman Dana White has pioneered the combat sports industry through his fight organization. UFC is the most successful combat promotion in the world. White, in his life, has achieved the height of success and fame throughout his career. But recently, the dark side got the better of the UFC CEO. White slapped his wife, Anne White, in a video released by TMZ. Later, White gave out a public apology for the incident.
In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, White revealed how his actions affected his relationship with his family. The UFC CEO faced obstacles in mending his relationship with his kids, who were deeply embarrassed by the actions. White said, “Nobody wants to see their dumb drunk parents slapping each other on TMZ. You know what I mean. Our oldest son didn’t talk to us for like 4 days and the other kids had to deal with some stuff too. It’s embarrassing.”
Later in the interview, White claimed that his children’s forgiveness was the only thing that mattered to him. After the incident, White and his wife Anne spoke to the public by questioning their actions. During this time, Dana White faced much hate, jeopardizing his position as the UFC president.
However, White was successful in recovering his relationship with his wife and children. Recently, White received a promotion to the position of CEO of UFC after UFC signed a deal with WWE.
Dana White is no longer the UFC president
The famous merger between WWE and the UFC caught the eyes of many fans. This merger has led to a new group called TKO Group Holdings. Further, in this merger, some changes took place in the hierarchy of both organizations. UFC president Dana White was promoted to Chief Executive Officer(CEO). This change also led to White’s loss of the presidency title.
Many announcements regarding the merger have confirmed the fact that White would still lead the operations. White shared positive words regarding the deal at the Contender’s Series press conference. The UFC CEO believed that this merger would make the UFC much more powerful. Further, many ambitions could be in place for the UFC boss, which would come true after this deal.
The title loss means nothing for White, as his current position will still determine the big decisions. Endeavor boss Ari Emmanuel buying the 51% stake in the company WWE has led to these advances. This merger definitely could be a new transition in the combat business.
