Daniel Cormier talks about getting inducted to the UFC Hall of Fame
Daniel Cormier could not have asked for a better honor in the world than being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
Former two-division champion, and current UFC broadcaster, Daniel Cormier was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on May 8th during the pay-per-view event of UFC 274. The former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion got very emotional over the induction during the event and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the MMA promotion.
Daniel Cormier is also a co-host on the DC&RC show where he talks all things MMA with super bowl champion Ryan Clark. In the very recent episode of the show on ESPN MMA, DC expresses his emotions and reacts to how he feels about being a UFC Hall-of-Famer. Cormier reveals that he is still psyched about being inducted and wants to take things to another level to boast about his achievement.
“It’s exciting because there has been a few halls of fame. I went to the Louisianna sports Hall of Fame, I’ve been in a couple of wrestling ones,” said DC on the show. “But with this [UFC] one, I have not put my feet back on the ground, RC. I tried to actually put a banner outside of the ‘Daniel Cormier Wrestling Academy’ that says ‘Home of UFC Hall-of-Famer.'”

“Being truthful, it’s a great distinction and the highest honor in our sport, in the UFC,” said DC. “And when you are recognized for all of the things that you did in your contributions to the game, nothing matches up to it man. I’ve always said, ‘Championships fade, but legacy lasts forever.'”
“My legacy is now etched in stone. When my time on this earth is done, my son, my daughters, they can take their kids to the UFC Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, and say, ‘Look at what your grandfather was.'” Watch the full interview of DC&RC below:
Cormier was the champion of two of the toughest divisions in the sport and dominated his career against most of his opponents with his wrestling background. DC defended both his belts and has a record of 23-3-0 in his entire UFC career.
