Daniel Ricciardo goes to action this weekend in Las Vegas GP. He competes in Formula One under the banner of Scuderia AlphaTauri, representing Australia. Before getting to the race track, the Australian stepped foot on the mats alongside UFC star Max Holloway. After training, Ricciardo amusingly called out the F1 drivers to compete against him in MMA.

In the recent video by EA Sports UFC, Max Holloway taught Daniel Ricciardo a few MMA techniques. On request from Ricciardo, Holloway taught him the triangle choke. Later, he held pads for the F1 racer. Finally, they finished their meet-up by playing the UFC 5 game. What’s hilarious is that Ricciardo chose Alexander Volkanovski as his avatar in the game against ‘Blessed.’ However, Here is how he called out the F1 racers:

The Formula One Championship holds its first race in the Las Vegas street circuit this weekend. Daniel Ricciardo races alongside his fellow racers in this historical event ‘Las Vegas Grand Prix. Ricciardo was an MMA enthusiast, and it was great to see him get along with Max Holloway. ‘Blessed’ is one of the most acclaimed featherweights in the UFC and a former champion.

Max Holloway won his last fight against The Korean Zombie via TKO. Now, he was looking forward to putting up a winning streak, potentially setting up a fight with Alexander Volkanovski for the title. On the other hand, Daniel Ricciardo is a great underdog to win his race in Las Vegas. Anyway, it was a nice moment seeing two icons from two different sports getting along with each other.

Daniel Ricciardo was a mixed martial arts fan and has been closely linked with a few fighters from the UFC. Recently, he trained with the former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. But this was not his first time. In November 2022, he trained alongside Charles Oliveira in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Formula One racer was in the country for the Brazil Grand Prix in the Interlagos race track. He was representing McLaren then, and they have posted video footage of him training MMA. He visited the Chute Boxing training center in Sao Paulo, where Charles Oliveira trains. Do Bronx helped Daniel Ricciardo with a few boxing techniques.

Unfortunately, Daniel Ricciardo was forced out of the Brazil GP in the very first lap of the race when he crashed with a fellow racer. Likewise, Charles Oliveira lost his title due to a weight miss in UFC 274. Later, he fought for the vacated title against Islam Makhachev but couldn’t get through as the latter submitted him in the second round. Now, he is expected to rematch the champion in 2024.
