“Hope to SEE YOU commentating,” Darren Till ends back and forth with Daniel Cormier on a hilariously CONFUSED note

“Hope to SEE YOU commentating,” Darren Till ends back and forth with Daniel Cormier on a hilariously CONFUSED note

Darren Till- Daniel Cormier

After Darren Till’s brotherhood with Khamzat Chimaev, his Twitter beef with Daniel Cormier might be the new duo of entertainment for MMA fans. Till is recently out of action due to multiple encounters with injuries during his training sessions. Till last fought in September of 2021 when he lost to Derek Brunson via submission in the third round. After that, Till got his fight cancelled for UFC London against Jack Hermansson, only because of another one of his injuries. Till is most likely to return inside the Octagon only in the next year.

Cormier is a UFC Hall of Famer who was the former simultaneous 2-division UFC champion, the second person to achieve the exact feat after Conor McGregor. Cormier is also an Olympic wrestler being ended up in 4th place. Before being a UFC champion, Cormier was the Strikeforce heavyweight champion of the world. His list of wins includes the likes of Volkan Oezdemir, Anthony Johnson, Stipe Miocic, Derrick Lewis, Josh Barnett, Antonio Silva, Anderson Silva, Alexander Gustafsson, Dan Henderson, Roy Nelson, Frank Mir and many more.

Darren Till trolls Daniel Cormier

In his post-fighting career, Cormier, who’s now known as a commentator and a sports analyst for the UFC, is widely criticized for his biased commentary either towards his former teammates from American Kickboxing Academy or his favourite fighters. Not so long ago, Darren Till recently went on Twitter to react to the UFC 280 main event scheduled between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight championship. Till said “Charles Vs Islam What a fight Just don’t let DC commentate” citing that Cormier will most likely be biased towards his teammate Makhachev on the mic.

Cormier responded to Till in the comments and said “Darren I expect better from you. I’ve called multiple teammates fights. And honestly my commentary doesn’t affect the judges or anything honestly. Most times my team is mad at me because they feel I am too much in other direction. Do better Till!”

Till responded back to Cormier saying “I was just joking, I only said it for likes and retweets. Hope to see you there commentating.” This can either be a sincere statement or could indicate sarcasm since the emoji used by Till after the tweet was rather a subjective gesture. Cormier came out later on and said “I forget who I was talking to. I am sorry I was drunk lol”

What do you make of this back and forth between Till and Cormier? Do you think Till is right about Cormier’s commentary? Who do you think should replace Cormier if his commentary is biased? Regardless of his bias, if it’s there or not as per your judgement, Cormier does give a very well-formulated immediate breakdown of a fighter’s winning move. In other words, his allegedly biased nature shouldn’t be confused for his fight IQ.
