Till not only hailed Jones as the undisputed greatest MMA fighter ever but also threw out a challenge to fans. He urged them to bet against Jon “Bones” Jones at UFC 295.

Darren Till asserted his views on X about Jones. The former UFC fighter tweeted, “Jon Jones is the greatest mma fighter of all time. Not athlete. Fighter. Dont think anyone will surpass him in my opinion…” Moreover, he further elaborated on Bones’ greatness in another tweet, “Just to add as well. I think he runs over stipe who btw I am a big fan of also and think is the HW goat. Anyone wants a bet with me I’ll be taking big bets on this one.”The second tweet was about Jones’ heavyweight title defense at UFC 295 against Stipe Miocic.

Jon Jones became the heavyweight champion after defeating Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. Jones won the vacant title at the event as Francis Ngannou left the promotion due to a contractual dispute. Ngannou had earlier won the title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 and defended it against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. Miocic has not fought since the loss and is returning after a long layoff at UFC 295.

The Darren Till-Mike Perry sparring, as seen by Mike Malott

In an unforeseen turn of events that caught everyone off guard, MMA luminaries Darren Till and Mike Perry found themselves engaged in an impromptu sparring session in a hotel gym. It was an encounter that went down in MMA lore. Mike Malott painted a vivid picture of this unplanned battle as described on his YouTube channel.

Till and Perry found themselves in the same gym, and they settled on a friendly sparring match. What began as a light-hearted scrimmage soon morphed into an intense bout. Perry pointed out a bleeding cut above Till’s eye in a show of sportsmanship. Thus underscoring the earnestness of their bout. Malott hinted that the scales may have slightly tipped in Till’s favor. However, the mutual respect and camaraderie once the dust settled was evident.

The impetus behind this bout can be traced back to a playful exchange where Perry comically misconstrued Till’s proposal of a ‘spa’ visit as a challenge to ‘spar.’ However, the outcome of the challenge became a memorable, unscripted clash that left Malott both stunned and exhilarated. Both Till and Perry are no longer with the UFC. Perry is now the face of BKFC, and Till is a promotional-free agent.
