Derek Brunson finds himself in the middle of an active shooting incident in a casino in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a place where anything can happen. People either lose money or get lucky but the party never stops. It’s always unpredictable and sometimes dangerous. A similar situation occurred this Saturday when the public near the MGM Hotel started running around and causing a panic. The panic was initiated by a rumour that there was a shooting near the casino. All the people inside the Casino started running in order to save their lives without even knowing the truth.
Many videos and clips were circulated on the internet showing a massive crowd running around. People can be seen hiding behind tables and counters to save themselves and their friends and family. The panic was huge and the police officers nearby had to do their best to control the crowd as well as find the cause.
However, after the investigation by the police, it was found that there was no shooting involved. The panic was caused by a glass door that broke and the noise caused by its impact misled the people. The Las Vegas Metropolitan police department also made a tweet in order to clarify the situation to the public.

Derek Brunson shares his side of the story during the panic
The incident took place on Saturday night and fortunately or unfortunately the UFC middleweight fighter was in the same casino trying his luck.
Brunson took the Twitter to share a clip that he recorded while hiding behind a table totally unaware of the situation. In the recording, people can be seen screaming, running and hiding trying to figure out the situation. In the caption, the fighter mentioned that he was there when there was a shooter in the Las Vegas casino. He wrote :
” I was out of there #activeshooter in Vegas casino.”
Later Brunson read the reports and realised the truth about the situation and made a tweet in order to clarify to his fans and followers.
The panic took place suddenly and the sound was also misleading. During the situation, it’s common for someone to believe that there has been a shooting and exactly what Brunson felt.
