Joe Rogan gets real about his obsession with training hard every day. Rogan has been practicing BJJ and kickboxing for a long time now and has always been in good shape during his career.

As a man in his 50s, people expected Joe Rogan to slack off a little and enjoy life chilling in his million-dollar mansion instead of going to the gym. However, that’s not what Rogan does or will ever prefer to do in the future. In an episode of the popular ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, he revealed why he trains hard and consistently.

He said, “It’s one of the reasons I workout so hard. Because when I workout really hard,I have respect for myself. For that day I know I’m not a lazy piece of s***. For that day, I know I’m focused. For that day, when I’m done, I’m like I know who I am. I get sh*** done.”

Rogan has a pretty good physique given that he’s currently in his 50s. The UFC color commentator has always been transparent about using TRT replacement therapy to maintain his muscle mass. But that’s definitely not what it takes to be in that shape. Rogan likes to put in work every day, and during an interview with Max Lugavere on his podcast, he talked about his routine.

He said, “So like today, I did, I do a kettlebell workout and then I do the airdyne bike. So I go from the airdyne bike, right into the sauna…And I’m already sweating and exhausted and my heart started pounding as I get in there. And it’s 185 degrees. And my heart rate just stays compounding, stays pounding…The one thing that’s shown to me to really have a benefit on the way I feel other than exercise. The way I just, my overall like, sense of wellbeing in my body is sauna and the cold plunge combination.”

Rogan mentioned that he frequently does a routine of getting out of a sauna and dropping into a cold plunge.
