The name Dana White and the term Power Slap have been going hand in hand recently. Power Slap, the new venture of the UFC President, has attracted much backlash from media and individuals alike. The first event took place early this year on the 11th of March, and since then, there have been three more events of this slap fest.

Dana White lashed out about the sport’s success in a recent media scrum. “We have two billion views on TikTok!” he said. Further, White also confirmed that India contributes a massive number of views, estimated to be around 300 million. He also pulled up numbers from other countries and boasted that he could keep going. Dana said, “Never been a part of something so successful in such a short amount of time.”

The UFC President now owns multiple combat promotion houses, defying significant critics of the sport, such as Ryan Garcia. Boxing superstar Garcia harshly criticized Power Slap in early January and called for the sport to be banned. Power Slap, the latest of White’s projects, has slowly gained widespread attention.

White relayed to the media that the coming weeks may bring big announcements for the sport. Power Slap 5 is scheduled for the 25th of October in Nevada. With optimism from the UFC president, this coming event may strengthen the footing for the sport even further. However, fans have yet to accept the success of Power Slap as they continue to debate it on social media.

In the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter, the production company made a critical mistake. According to White, the coaches’ challenge, featuring Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, could have led to a possible injury. The UFC president did not like the ice bath challenge while answering a trivia that went up to three rounds.

Regarding the production mismanagement, Dana had some strong thoughts. He said, “These guys did this thing for almost 30 minutes. Dangerous, stupid, irresponsible, and just completely f****** ridiculous on the part of the production crew that handled the coaches challenge”. The two coaches of TUF 31 are expected to brawl later this year.

Conversely, McGregor is openly dismissive of Chandler as an opponent. His recent activities on social media remain concrete proof of such dismissal. He threw shades at Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira on social media. The latest episode of TUF 31 once again stole the headlines after Dana White publicly lashed out at his production team.
