UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov recently engaged in a comprehensive interview with Patrick Bet-David. The duo traversed through a wide array of topics, including politics. Notably, Khabib Nurmagomedov emphatically emphasized the indispensable role of rigorous training in his sons’ lives. A poignant tribute to his late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, revealed how instrumental he was in nurturing Khabib. Khabib also clarified his view on politics.

He said, “I have chance to become like big political like working like this. But I don’t want this and everybody know this. I want to stay away from political because politics, things never stop, it’s always change.” Khabib is very close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin called and congratulated Khabib immediately after his controversial fight with Conor McGregor. Khabib along with his now-deceased father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, visited Putin after winning the belt. The landscape of politics is inherently volatile and subject to constant transformation. While acknowledging his significant influence within his homeland, he acknowledged the potential for a political career but firmly expressed his disinterest in pursuing such a path.

Despite his substantial impact and popularity, Khabib declared his lack of inclination to enter the political arena. While he maintained a genuine desire to assist others whenever the opportunity presented itself, the realm of politics held no appeal for him. He candidly shared his perspective on the pressure he faced from various quarters to make political statements. Khabib’s aspiration centered on helping and motivating people within the confines of his limits.

Khabib also expressed a certain aversion to the political realm due to its propensity for unnecessary drama. This sentiment underscored his preference for a more genuine and direct approach to aiding and inspiring others. Khabib spends more time with his family these days than anything else. This was a cherished aspect he missed during his active UFC years. Khabib expressed his satisfaction with his current life and does not want to stay away from his family in any way.
